Abstract

The thematic section “Agrarian Conflicts and the Novel” gathers studies that delve into the relationship between the sociology of agrarian conflicts and literature, indicating the theoretical and heuristic potential of analyzing novels that address agrarian conflicts in contemporary society and their characters and the social and political struggles. Thus, various classic and contemporary, national and international novels were analyzed to show the complementarity between sociology and literature.
